Vehicles, fill-ups and maintenance

Add or edit a vehicle

Open Settings → My vehicles, then the vehicle or Add action. Give the profile a recognizable name and check its vehicle type, fuel, consumption and tank capacity. Appearance and identification details are optional. Save your changes.

Open the optional appearance section to choose a body type and colour. The illustration represents a body style, not an exact make or model. Your selection works offline and does not change fuel or trip calculations.

The active vehicle supplies defaults for comparisons and new actions. It does not prove which vehicle made a past trip. Review a trip's own vehicle when correcting history. A Bluetooth link is configured separately from fuel settings.

Consumption and tank capacity influence route estimates. A configured estimate and consumption calculated from fill-ups have different bases. Keep actual odometer readings distinct from estimated distance and use the units configured in Settings.

To remove a vehicle, open Edit vehicle → More actions → Delete vehicle. Check the confirmation before deleting. Cancel leaves the vehicle unchanged.

Add a fill-up

  1. Use Add → Fill-up, or the fill-up action in station details.
  2. Check the vehicle, date, fuel and station. If no station matches, search, choose it on the map when offered, or skip the association.
  3. Enter the receipt volume, total paid and unit price as the form requires. Check the displayed currency and units.
  4. Mark whether the tank was full or partially filled. Add the odometer if known; use the unknown/exclusion options rather than inventing a reading.
  5. Review optional notes and sharing, then save. Find the record under Activity → Fill-ups.

A station association is optional. Skipping it still lets you keep the fill-up. For an older receipt, select the historical station yourself; your current phone location is not evidence of where that fill-up happened.

Successive full-to-full fill-ups with usable readings help calculate consumption. A partial fill-up remains useful but does not independently define a complete measurement interval. A comparison or savings estimate may be unavailable when the necessary price or vehicle information was not captured.

Saving a personal fill-up does not automatically publish its price. Community sharing is a separate explicit choice when available. See price contributions.

Edit records and maintain the vehicle

Open an existing fill-up from Activity to review, edit or delete it. Check the record and confirmation before deleting. Deleting is different from excluding an odometer reading from calculations.

The vehicle's maintenance workspace offers service, expense, reminder, document details and odometer entry. Enter the actual date, amount/currency and mileage where applicable. Document details store descriptive information; do not assume that adding a document record uploads or preserves the original file.

For a reminder, choose its due date and/or odometer condition and repeat setting. Mark completed work through the record's action when it is actually done. The chronological history is in Activity → Maintenance; a vehicle entry can open that same history with the vehicle selected.

Mileage-only reminders show their odometer threshold. Date reminders show their due date; combined reminders show both conditions. Comparisons need usable odometer information. The maintenance total covers all recorded costs, not an implied monthly budget. Keep a portable backup of records you need.
